What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is Amazon’s annual promotional event, and as the name suggests, it’s exclusively for Amazon Prime members. During the two-day event now, Prime members can find a ton of deals on Amazon.com, ranging from laptops and headphones to golf equipment, of course.
Amazon’s Prime Day sales typically take place in the summer (more on the official dates for 2023 below), and it’s a great time to snag discounts on products ahead of Black Friday, the other big sale of the year. If you’re in need of a new golf laser, or want to stock up on golf balls, you don’t have to wait until November’s Black Friday sale, Amazon Prime Day is a great chance to score some huge discounts.
It goes without saying, but: You need an Amazon Prime account to shop Prime Day deals later this year. Non-Prime members can find great deals on Amazon during Prime Day 2023, but they won’t be the “official” Prime Day deals that promise bigger discounts and price cuts. You’ll need to sign up for Amazon Prime to buy the sale, and you’ll also get access to Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Reading, free shipping and more for just £7.99 a month or £79.99 a year.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?
Amazon Prime Day 2023 will take place on July 11-12. The event will start on July 11th at 00:01am and the offer will run until July 12th at 11:59pm. This is exactly the same date as we originally predicted based on the timing of previous sales activity.
Why is this important? Every year, Amazon throws out tons of great deals on golf clubs, bags, golf balls, and just about every other golf gear you can think of. Now is the perfect time to bargain, top up your golf balls, and fill in any gaps in your golf setup.
Plus, more than two million deals will go live, so if you don’t need any golf gear, there’s inevitably going to be plenty of deals on alcohol or golf toys for kids. Whatever your needs, Amazon has you covered.
Can you get a free Prime account on Prime Day?
Yes, if you didn’t have a Prime account before, because Amazon offers a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial to all new customers. After that, you’ll be charged £7.99 per month or £79 per year, but you can cancel your Prime account at any time during the trial period and you won’t be charged.
Can I save money with the Prime Day sale?
The short answer is yes, as the deal is pretty good, but we do have a few little tips you should check out later this year ahead of time.
1. Use the free trial to buy Prime Day sale items
If you think about it, Prime members spend £7.99 a month on Prime Day sale items. The idea of spending money on promotional items is a bit odd, but it’s a small price to pay considering the incredible prices offered each year. However, if you are new to Prime, sign up for Prime before Prime Day, then you can try it for free for 1 month and buy promotional items for free.
2. Shop with Amazon Gift Cards
If you have an Amazon gift card you haven’t used, why not use it in the Prime Day sale? Amazon has also in the past allowed people to “reload” gift cards as an extra way to save money, but we haven’t confirmed if this service will be available as part of the 2023 sale.
3. Get some deals early
Amazon has great deals every day, so if you’re in a hurry to buy a new golf club set, golf bag, or golf watch right away, you can find some great deals on Amazon’s daily deals page. The prices on the Prime Day sale will be some of the lowest, but it never hurts to treat yourself with a lightning deal or two before the big event.
